Drakonid Crusher that has its Ability activated is the biggest six mana minion in the game. In Arena game mode where hard removal and especially Big Game Hunters are less common Drakonid Crusher acts as a remarkable threat. At six mana cost with 6/6 stats even without activation of its ability Drakonid Crusher is a strong card when more powerful, but much rarer cards like Sylvanas or Savannah Highmane may not be available.

In Play Mode though, most decks either have ways to deal with this minion in the form spells such as Hex or in case of faster aggro decks can just ignore it.

They are meant to be the footmen and standard soldiers of the Legions of Blackrock, and though they have considerable magic resistances, a flaw does exist; each drakonid has a fatal weakness to one magic type, making it suffer enormous damage from that particular school. This weakness can be used to the advantage of any mortal army daring to step into the halls of Blackwing Lair in order to challenge the sinister Nefarian.
