Trivia
- C418 has the normal player skin with a jukebox for a head, likely because it was he who made the music for Minecraft.
- The use of a diamond as part of the crafting recipe might be a reference to how Edison phonographs have diamond-tipped needles.
- It`s not possible to insert discs with droppers or hoppers, only by hand.

Usage
Pistons cannot push jukeboxes.
Playback
Right clicking on a jukebox while a music disc is equipped will insert the disc and play music corresponding to the type of music disc used. Right clicking on the jukebox again will stop the music and eject the disc. Music discs only play once before they must be ejected and reinserted. Sound from the jukebox travels roughly 65 blocks in all directions. It supports all available music discs Music Disc Type Decorations Durability N/A Renewable Yes Stackable No First appearances See History Data values See Data values Name See Data values "Far" redirects here. Redstone component

Active jukeboxes give off a redstone signal when a redstone comparator is placed directly behind it or through an adjoining block; its strength depends on the ID of the inserted disc. The following table shows the redstone strength output for each disc.

---|---|
0 | No disc inserted |
1 | "13" |
2 | "cat" |
3 | "blocks" |

Record: Record currently playing. 0 is no record. Else, it is the item ID of the record (e.g. 2261 for the "mall" record). Other IDs can be used to make other items or blocks pop out with a data value of 0. This is always overridden by the ID in RecordItem.

showMechanics
If a player interacts with a jukebox while a music disc is held in their hand, the disc is placed into the machine, and the music corresponding to that disc begins playing. Interacting with the jukebox again will stop the music and eject the disc. Music discs will only play its song once completely before they must be ejected and re-inserted. Sounds from the jukebox travel roughly around 75 blocks, but the distance is different vertically.
Jukeboxes can be smelted, which will yield 1.5 items per jukebox. However, this is somewhat wasteful as the Wood Planks and Diamond used to build jukeboxes are far more valuable than other furnace fuel sources.
Source
Music Discs can be obtained as a drop when a Creeper is killed by a Skeleton. They can also be found inside of Dungeon Chests.
